The announcement was made Thursday by the The Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, which holds an annual fundraiser out of CinemCon benefiting for the Pioneers Assistance Fund which provides financial support and services to individuals in the theatrical entertainment community who are encountering an illness, injury or a life-changing event.
The three-time Oscar nominee will receive the award on April 25, 2018 at the Pioneer of the Year dinner, which takes place during the annual convention for the National Association of Theater Owners.
